Professor Application InformationCome join us at Portlandsterdam University. If you have what it takes, we need you. Who Qualifies To qualify as a professor for Portlandsterdam University you must meet the following requirements: Shown a proven ability in the field that you want to teach by: Professional Certifications, Education or Verifiable Experience - Verifiable Experience may be as simple as being the Grow Master for your group or spokesman of your organization, having been published or recognized, etc. You must submit a planned Lecture, Class, Course, Lab or other item to present. We can assist you in this task but you must provide the title and content. All you have to do is download the PDF applications below and return them to us. Upon acceptance we will contact you to make final arrangements to begin preparing and scheduling your class. What Does PDXU Do? We have gathered the heavy weights and brought them together in one place. You will be working with the best Oregon has to offer. PDXU will provide the location, scheduling, lab, equipment, support, advertizing, marketing, personnel, tuitions collection and much more to get you to teach us your knowledge. It is our intent to offer video productions of your classes for archival and made available on-line at a future date. This is an additional chance to gain revenues and document good information. Our main goal is to assimilate, verify and quantify accurate, scientific information to provide to the public. What does it cost? It is up to you to set the price of your class, subject to PDXU review. PDXU charges a flat fee of $100 per class due at enrollment. There is no fee to pay up front by the Professor. We collect the enrollment tuition fees, and pass them to you. You only pay us a flat fee. If you are planning on giving a class or lecture for free then we will waive any costs. Think reasonable when wanting to charge for classes. Portlandsterdam University only offers affordable classes and you may be asked to negotiate with us. You cannot use the University exclusively to demo or sell a product unless it has beneficial value to the Industry as a whole and you are willing to have the product evaluated by our teams.
Who controls the content? You do. You control the methods, styles, lengths, and subjects of your class (within reason of course). We would like to provide you our assistance, facilities, scheduling and labs. It is fully up to you to design the course, materials and structure of your lecture, presentation or class. This gives you full control of content. This is part of our diversity. If you need assistance with any of the above we stand ready to help. We can supply presentations, AV, equipment, handouts, etc. Just let us know. We can also provide support for organizing, examples, templates, and research for your class.
Is this only for card holders? Absolutely not! Information should be available to any interested person including doctors, lawyers, or persons just interested in finding out about becoming a grower for others. You will be required to possess a current OMMP card if you want to participate in the labs, but you can view the entire class (including lab) without having a card. Just no touching.
How do I get started? 1. Fill out and return the Professor Application. You only need to do this once. After being accepted into the University, you may create your classes. 2. Fill out a Course and Class Application. This form is to be used for every course or class that you would like to present. We will give you the opportunity to list the title, description, tuition, requirements and schedule date(s) that you would like to present. We will also ask what you will need in the way of AV, Presentation and Printed materials. 3. Upon approval of your course or class, it will be scheduled, advertised and promoted.
